Talkin' Bout The Key "Factors" Leading to the Leafs Comeback Win
This is what we’ve been waiting for LeafsNation - playoff hockey! And so far it hasn’t disappointed! The Leafs are in a good spot right now, leading the series despite a poor start in Game 1, and somehow the team has found a way, in every game since, to win! It's been both thrilling and nerve-racking to say the least!
We start things off with some Leaf Talk and assess the state of the series between the Maple Leafs and Lightning. There's been plenty of drama, starting with a loss in the opener and Michael Bunting's 3 game suspension. Then Bunting's fate opened the door to the NHL debut of Matthew Knies in game 2 and the kid has not looked back! Together with line-mates Acciari, and O'Reilly, he's certainly been a "Factor" in the success of the line and the team thus far.
The GBU is on hiatus for the playoffs, but the Ladies are still rolling a special Playoff Edition of the LTL Highlight Reel. For this first instalment of the second season, we celebrate the unbreakable Samsonov, a long serving, unsung hero, and a make-shift line that has played an incredibly pivotal role in the series to this point.
Then during our Third Period segment, we wrap up the show taking a look at some of the other ongoing series in the Eastern and Western conferences , and the possible repercussions the results may have for the next round in each conference.
Leading up to the post-season one question has weighed on the mind of every Leaf fan--can the Core 5 (now 6) finally play up to the hype and get the job done? They haven't completed the job yet, but early impressions are sure looking encouraging! By this time next week, we'll know their fate and whether they have finally been able to exorcise the ghosts of the past and move on to the next round. One thing's for sure, Leafs Nation will be cheering loud and proud! Go Leafs Go!
