Leafs Weekly QuIck Hits: Toronto Coming Off a Meh Week | Can They Bounce Back Before the Break?
After another great showcase vs the Lightning on Amazon Prime Hockey, it ended up being a pretty forgettable week for the Leafs!
In this quick hits episode, we look at the week's games vs the afore mentioned Tampa Bay Lightning, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ottawa Senators, and discuss how the Leafs managed to turn a great start, into a pretty meh week overall, squandering a chance to take 2 divisional games, and losing to a couple of opponents that they could meet in the first round if things continue to track as they have been.
Even the worst weeks have a few great sparks though, and so we are thrilled to unveil Joseph Woll as our Star of the week! Calm and confident in the net, he is really making a case that he can handle the heavier workload!
We wrap up this show with a look at the sparse week ahead, as the Leafs embark on a very light stretch of games. starting at home versus the Minnesota Wild. Then they head out for their first foray into Western Canada with tilts against the Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames. With only 5 more games to play ahead of the 4 Nations Face-off, we're hoping the boys make the most of the practice and rest, so the can finish strong going into the break!
