Can the Leafs Match Tavares’ Steady Game When It Matters Most?
There are now only 12 games remaining for the Leafs in this 2024-2025 NHL season!
In this episode of Leafs Quick Hits, we take a look at the Leafs' recent games, vs the Flames, Avs, Rangers and Preds, after what was for the most part, a positive week! There were excellent performances across the whole lineup, which highlighted to us the need for consistency, as they close out the season.
Speaking of consistency, the Buds have a great role model in John Tavares who for 7 years running has scored at least 30 goals! His 5 points in 4 games, including his 500th as a Leaf, earned him Star of the Week honours!
The Leafs purportedly have one of the weaker schedules to close out the season, emphasizing the importance of winning against all the lower-ranked teams we'll be facing off against. As Jake McCabe said "It's important to get home ice". With up and coming games vs opponents that are outside of the playoff picture, top of the Atlantic is still very much in the picture.
Time to keep our eyes on the prize as they say. Let's hope the team can turn this positive week into sustained momentum as we approach the spring dance! Go Leafs Go!
